The California Employment Development Department says the state's unemployment rate edged up to 5.4 percent in June, but the Inland Empire's June jobless rate dipped to its lowest point since 2006, according to the Inland Empire Economic Partnership. The Inland Empire unemployment rate, which includes San Bernardino and Riverside counties, fell to 6.6 percent, its lowest since 5.7 percent in 2006, according to economist Dr. John Husing.
