MWA officials: Recent storms a drop in the bucket

The recent storms that brought much-needed rain to the High Desert pale in comparison to previous events, according to Mojave Water Agency officials, who added the "drop in the bucket" still benefits the region's water supply. At the height of Monday's rain, stream-water gauges at Deep Creek and West Fork - the two main tributaries that combine to form the Mojave River - experienced surface flows of more than 5,000 cubic feet per second, according to data collected by the Mojave Water Agency.
