Firefighters rushed to action after several fires were reported in the 36000 block of Soapmine Road at around 8 p.m. Sunday, Barstow Fire Protection District Fire Chief Jamie Williams said. Units arrived and found flames "threatening a fuel tank" on property belonging to stone supplier Brubaker-Mann Inc., along with a brush fire, Williams said.
