It didn't take long for anger to rear its head in the days following Diante Yarber's death at the hands of police. The 26-year-old Barstow resident was fatally shot by Barstow Police Department officers responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle at the Walmart on Montara Road on April 5. Yarber, an alleged suspect in a stolen vehicle case, reportedly slammed into two patrol vehicles as he ignored repeated commands, officials said. There was a woman and three men, including Yarber, inside a Ford Mustang.
