Two local nonprofits have received thousands of dollars in funding to address the local homeless situation and help end the "cycle of poverty." Bank of America representatives recognized the services of Desert Manna and the Family Assistance Program, and shared a slice of $417,500 grant, during a presentation ceremony on Thursday at the branch on Seventh Street in Victorville. The Family Assistance Program provides shelter, counseling and advocacy to victims of domestic violence and their children.
