A man's body was found in a vehicle near a freeway offramp in the Mojave Desert between Victorville and Barstow, according to sheriff's officials. The discovery involved a semi-truck and was reported to California Highway Patrol dispatchers at 10:44 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, near the off ramp from the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 to Wild Wash Road, about seven miles east of Helendale.
