Vashaud Williams, 22, of Barstow, lost his life in the blaze, which occurred at the Alfa Apartment Complex at 2011 Borrego Drive, Barstow Police Department and Fire Protection District officials stated Monday. Several families also became displaced when four apartments were destroyed in the blaze, which began at 1:15 a.m. Sunday.
